Once again, I own my resolver and I own my web browser. I want my web
browser not to download malware. It's easier for me to configure my
resolver not to answer bad questions than it is to prevent my browser
from asking them. Neither "ethics" nor "intellectual property" (the
relationship between which is not, in my opinon, anywhere near as
obvious as it is to you) are considerations here.

If you wish to consider a physical analog, there may be a general principle
that one should not interfere with postal mail, but this is challeged by
the existence of the unabomber or the anthrax attacks.
