I believe the general answer has to be yes. For example, the
NI model requires it because there will be only one server for
configuration data of the LNE and all NIs.

That's why Martin proposed not to use any data as mount points.

In some cases though it may be useful to mount config=true data as
read-only, and schema-mount-04 will provide some means for doing so.
