Please bookmark this page, and consult when your personal go/no-go
decision point comes close.

https://www.sozialministerium.at/Informationen-zum-Coronavirus/COVID-Prognose-Konsortium-2022.html

For the upcoming week, the prognosis (including simulations that include
the expected lower rate of compliance after the press statements by the
government) are trending downward.

The ciritical data point is ICU utilization (3rd graph "Intensivpflege")
- and knowning that the conversion rate from Infection to ICU is
dramatically lower with Omicron BA.1 / BA.2; What I understand is, that
a plateau at high level is expected for the next 2 weeks (just before
the opening), while the BA.2 subvariant becomes more dominant and BA.1
wanes. The expectation is, that thereafter, the numbers will start
declining a little bit faster.

(Free PCR testing will still be available, while the IETF is running.
But political debates have started if this is reasonable to continue
when the healthcare system starts to recover and return back to normal
levels - with an nudge for those who believed that testing is just as
good as getting vaccinated, to finally get their shots).

Hope to see a decent number of you around soon :)

Take care,
    Richard
