G.722 is currently part of the browser code base and the cost of adding it
is the cost of adding one define. Availability of G.722 on the platform
itself is irrelevant. Cost of supporting it in the future is a different
matter, but it is fairly small and would be comparable to support cost of
G.711.

I would generally agree that in the long run having too many MTI codecs is
too restricting. What I want to see is some sort of commitment from the
browser manufacturers to support codecs beside MTI, especially initially,
until Opus support is more wide spread.
