WPAD has already been discussed on this list as a way to discover local TURN servers. If we extend WPAD for TURN servers, we may extend it for other local information.

WPAD never became an RfC so it could not be referenced in a RTCWEB document. The success of WPAD shows that there is a need for such a functionality.

Is it time to revive the 12 year old draft?
