​All I can say that regardless if this is 5 years or 10 years new
functionality in BGP take that long when you add IETF process, vendor's
priorities and deployment rollout all together.

And that is why I was hoping that at least for communities with wide
proposal we can do one thing in a flexible format and address operational
needs for years to come.

If you are going to keep having similar discussions about fixed format of
communities and new attributes over and over again every few years - did we
really learned from the past mistakes ?
