Hi Ian,

No - not at all. All voices from the community indicating need for given
protocol extensions are IMHO very precious to everyone.

All what I was trying to indicate was that suggesting to speed up and
accept proposal as WG item and immediately go to last call is not what IETF
process is all about.

And even if IDR WG would do that (meaning if a WG draft would be last
called this week) it still takes many months to get via IETF review and
approval and editor queue process for it to become a standards track
published RFC.
