Hi Gert,

This thread is not about delaying anything. How did you get such impression
?

It all about putting the large community into proper envelope as opposed to
sending it as a postcard. It is NOT about trashing large community AS:4:4
and say oh folks wait few more years for universal type 1. Not at all.

>From code perspective adding a common header to a given type is no reason
for any delay. Then other types can get introduced as TLVs at their own
pace.

The only open question to WG is to agree on format of the common header
which could serve not only to large community type but also to other TLVs.

If WG agrees on attribute + common header as described in current -03
version of wide community draft with perhaps additional comments to be
incorporated in it - then we are done.
