Dear Alex,

Actually both old and new are not correct (sorry for not having seen that earlier).

>From IEEE 802.11-2016, this is the 'real' definition (from the very long table of definitions and acronyms):

--

OCB - outside the context of a BSS

--

There is no ID, no Identifier…It simply means outside of a BSS.

So, I suggest to replace by:

old:

> OCB: Outside the Context of a Basic Service Set identifier.

> OCB - Outside the Context of a Basic-Service Set ID (BSSID).

new:

> OCB - Outside the Context of a Basic-Service Set.

Best Regards,

Jérôme

OCB term expansion

Hello IPWAVErs,

A comment was made about the definition of the term OCB.

I suggest the following.

old:

> OCB: Outside the Context of a Basic Service Set identifier.

> OCB - Outside the Context of a Basic-Service Set ID (BSSID).

new:

> OCB - Outside the Context of a Basic-Service Set ID.

Alex
