That should have read (and for some reason didn't):

True, and if a standardised Dinka is formalised then an
appropriate subtag should/may be registered.

But at the moment, the way I'm using "din" is as an
unspecified variety of Dinka not covered by the current
ISO-639-3 codes".

I'm not suggesting "din" be used for a standardised or
common Dinka.

Just saying that at the moment things are heading in
the direction of the development of a standardised
Dinka (if that ever actually happens). At which time
a more appropriate subtag may be put forward.

If that makes sense?
