A wiki is great for documentation, useful for collaborative work, and
not so good for discussion.
My suggestion would be to put text snippets and proposals on the wiki,
post comments and rationale to the list, and update the wiki to
reflect the results of the discussion (and possibly some motivation).

In principle somebody adding terms and/or text to the wiki should
update those terms and text during/after discussion as well, however,
i am planning to keep an eye on the synchronisation of wiki and list.
