In my opinion, “professional” includes technical and ethical context that are unnecessary for particular usage. That is, any kind of “uncivil commentary, regardless of the general subject” is inappropriate on the IETF mailing list. Nevertheless, of course IETF participants should act in a professional manner, but that isn’t the issue for that bullet. -- =============================================== David Farmer Email:farmer@umn.edu Networking & Telecommunication Services Office of Information Technology University of Minnesota 2218 University Ave SE Phone: 612-626-0815 Minneapolis, MN 55414-3029 Cell: 612-812-9952 ===============================================
