Asking for implementations also comes with responsibility.
There will be much larger resistance to change after implementations are written.
Even if a feature is implemented as an experiment, it is out in the wild, and you have to consider interoperability and backwards compatibilty.
And we need to listen to implementors, both with regards to changes required based on implementation experience and not to make changes, because it affects implementations written.

I hope we can’t screw this up to badly with a single bit though.
