I did mention that the document was both a little old (13 months) and that
there were workarounds for some kit.  The document specifies "RA Guard",
which is a name for a category of ipv6 RA filtering, and some kit can use
IPv6 ACLs to implement some of the features suggested by the SAVI folks.
Certainly not all, but some yes.

This does not invalidate the reality that there is a problem with ipv6
control packet filtering on many l2 devices on the market, physical and
virtual.
