My flight is in a couple of minutes, but I arrived at 09:30 at the airport and it took me nearly two hours to get to the gate area. The airport was very packed as well, so this may be common here at YVR. The baggage drop process IMHO really sucks, that line alone was probably responsible for nearly half of the wait. I didn't see much priorty lines other than checkin (can't use Global entry as I am not an US citizen).

So long
