I have GE, and am looking forward to it saving some time when I fly back on Tuesday. So far, it works best as some sort of karmic line shortener, i.e. since I got it it seems like I never hit the otherwise long immigration lines that make it worthwhile. I guess that's a win-win for everyone traveling with me :-)

OTOH, I am _very_ good at catching the long lines entering CA. Do I understand correctly that NEXUS works in both directions for US/CA travel? That is, if I have GE, is NEXUS still worth it?

If you don't live near the border and don't travel through those airports, the extra trip would likely cost you way more than $50. Most of the non-airport centers don't have eye scanners so you have to visit one that does later to add the iris scan.
