Be glad CATSA weren't also on some kind of "by-the book" go slow like they were on Wednesday after NANOG in June.

That made it truley painful to go through security - there appeared to be suits with clipboards auditing the operation.

FWIW - Friday at 3pm was just fine, even if I did get the dreaded SSSS on my boarding pass.

The place was really packed around 4:30 this morning. Huge lines, not 
very effective processes and so on. I think we (IETF folks) all made
our flights at 6am, but not with much time to spare, and this is 
speaking as someone who could go through various priority lanes, use
Global Entry and so on.

Lesson: The 6am flights are probably not the best choice, have never
seen the aiport that busy, but I've also never left this early zzzzz.
