Last night, between two bar bofs, I had a few bites at a meeting I happened to have a tenuous relationship with but otherwise skipped dinner. Each of them no doubt thought this was a solved problem, as one started late enough to eat before it and the other started right after the plenary, leaving time to go out afterward. But with the two together...

The last thing I want to do is discourage people from setting up ad hoc meetings to talk about things that interest them. I would humbly request that they consider their expectations of their participants.
