I had no problem getting a SIM good for 500MB/month for €10 at a shop down the street from my hotel. The guy at the counter was happy to speak English (rather than suffering with my college German), and was super-helpful. I was feeling kind of ill, or I would've tried harder to find the slightly better deals mentioned on this list for text and voice as well at the same price.

OTOH, I could imagine that getting a SIM in, say, Orlando, might've been a bit more complex.
