For what it is worth:

IETF events such as the Bits-n-Bites are professional events.

The practice labeled as “promotional models" is not considered appropriate
at an IETF event. I apologise for our failure to prevent this from
happening and for anyone who has been offended.

We are trying to determine what happened in this case, and I have
asked the IAOC to set up a mechanism to prevent it from happening
again.
