On a separate thread someone stated "Creating environments where women are "welcome" is indeed foundational at the end of the day.". At the stand with the women in question one of my colleagues had a photo with one of them, and another commented on that saying "having a photo with the girls?" and laughed. I am the only woman in this particular group (more often than not) and I have never felt more alienated than I did at that moment. Given the industry I work in, I am surprised that this happened at IETF.
