Again, it's a YMMV situation - my family is actually much happier to
have me return on Saturday (after a reasonable nite's sleep) rather than
on Friday nite, where I would often arrive very late and having only had
about 16 hours of sleep over the past 5 days.  

Also, in terms of cost, since I spend Fri. pm/Fri nite and part of Sat.
working, I don't think the addt'l nites expense is excessive and I
certainly wouldn't be able to do any of that if I traveled on Fri. nite.
And, I have encountered far more travel delays on those evening flights
than I typically have with a Sat. flight.  Thus, returning home on
Friday also ensures that I'm a grump on Sat, as well.
