If we were really going to do this, I would think that the way to do  
it would be to make sure that participation in the meeting from  
offsite was a satisfying experience.   The IETF has gotten better at  
this over time, but I still feel that if I don't show up in person,  
I'll probably miss out on something.   As networking geeks, I think it  
is worth at least considering whether our technological expertise  
could be bent to the service of this goal.
