Sure, but why did you have to avoid the overnight?   You just flew to Japan from the U.S. (I assume).   That's a heck of a long flight.   Why not sleep in Tokyo and continue on to Hiroshima the next day?  You're just going to have to sleep in Hiroshima anyway, and the train to Hiroshima is _fast_.

Sure.   If you don't want to have travel problems, don't travel.   Travel problems are a natural part of travel, even if you are traveling to a hub.   Certainly the more quick changes in your itinerary, the more chances there are for there to be problems, but even a nonstop flight can turn into a fiasco—last time I flew from SFO to JFK, a thunderstorm closed the airport for six hours, and we had to land in Allentown to refuel.   And then when I got to JFK, the line for taxis was easily several hours long, so I had to take the subway.   My easy flight home turned into a royal hassle.   That's the risk you run when you venture out into the world… :)
