I think some of that could be mitigated by publishing better advice ahead 
of time, e.g., buy your tickets earlier than usual, and here's how to take 
the bus to or from Montreal.  There's no question that YQB is a small 
airport with limited service, and a conference the size of the IETF will 
fill up all the seats.

The Friday night YQB-PHL flight was three hours late due to weather, so 
everyone missed their connections, and it was amusing how many familiar 
faces I saw in the bar of the PHL airport Marriott that night.
