Keith,

That's the logic that led us to QC over Vancouver (the latter actually 
having real international connections).

Put simply, please leave us out of your vacation plans.

This ought to be about picking a location that enables attendees most 
conveniently and economically to participate in an IETF meeting.

Consider OFC. There are two meetings a year, and they *never* move.

Somehow we've replaced 'distributing the pain' with 'increasing 
everyone's pain so a few can use the IETF as a vacation spot'. And - as 
noted in other posts - we seem to avoid obvious locations with very 
economical costs, even if we want to 'mix it up'.
