Indeed.   If I lived in Korea, I would probably feel the same way.   It's a very long journey, and it's _always_ going to be a very long journey for somebody—Seoul was really hard for me, but I'm happy we went.   The only way to make this problem go away would be to stop having in-person meetings, which doesn't seem to be a popular option.
