For my part, the pain/time of logistics has impacted my participating in 
person to *2 of the last 3* meetings.

I figure that's high, given I otherwise haven't missed a meeting since 
1996 when I first started attending.

Why not just ask?

I will attend only when the benefit to me isn't outweighed by the 
logistics, and the recent track record on that has been poor.
