+1 to Joel as well. It's important to attempt to avoid sending messages
with unintended connotations.

There will always be mixups, but I find it's better to focus on what people
hear, rather than what I meant to say.

If I am writing about a technical matter, I want the recipient to focus on
the technical issue at hand.
